7s teacher called this afternoon. A call from the teacher on the 2nd freakin' day.
I was delighted to hear she was calling to complement 7 on his helpful and compassionate attributes. Apparently there is a 3yr old in his class having some trouble seperating from Mom&Dad. Noah helps her out and holds her hand when they go places. He said I have a little brother and I take care of him so this is no problem. I pause to whimper and shed tears of joy.

When he got off of the bus today he had a grin from ear-to-ear. He said that was so fun, I can't wait to get on the bus tomorrow.

Can we stop now while this feeling soaks in. Go out on top so-to-speak:)

They sent him home in one piece. He looks a little shell shocked. Maybe he'll tell us about his day later.

7 got on the school bus for the first time today. I was pleased to see his broad grin. He even gave me a wink and a thumbs just before they rolled away. Five years have passed in a neverending blink.

What geeks! I mean, droids are born, not made. Plus hardcore non-conformity comes from making the R4 unit. So maybe I should start a club to perpetuate this non-conformity.

I think I have to get a game console now. I saw a trailer for the Lego Star wars game. It looked a lot cooler than I expected it to be. Obi-wan is in his star fighter and has missiles about to blow him up, but he uses the force to take his Lego ship apart allowing the missiles to pass through the bricks and then he reassembles the ship. Neat using the theme and retaining the Lego properties. The funniest thing I saw was Duku trying to use a view screen to watch republic activity and the signal is weak so he has Grievous stand on top of the 'TV' like a rabbit-ear-antenna and spread all of this arms and stand on one leg to correct the reception.

Are Zoos an educational haven in which speicies are protected and cared for, or are they prisons?

A caller reported suspicious activity while walking his dog on Norfolk Street at 5:04 a.m. The caller saw a vehicle pull into Patoma Park and saw flashes from the property. Police responded and determined college students were taking pictures of the rising sun.

Saturday, Aug. 6
A motorist ran out of gas in the Dunkin' Donuts drive-thru at 9:55 a.m.. An officer responded.

Luke(#7) was fighting Batman(#8). Luke says, "Foolish old man you know nothing of the Dark Side." in the BadGuyGirl voice from the SWCW cartoon. Well, Batman responds, "Foolish boy! Then I don't like you and you can't come to my house".

Intergalactic conflict resolved:)

Paying $77+ for drugs. 7&8 come running up, "Can we get these?" I don't even look, I prepare my lungs to belt out a 'No' that is firm yet still loving in a 'please don't ask again' kinda way.

What did they have? GI Joe action figures. I pretty resistant. Oh, Which figure you ask? THE GI Joe figure. The one I couldn't buy because I was always sold out when I had money and in stock when I was broke. It was... the good guy ninja...say it with me...Snake Eyes. Snake Eyes complete with a Mac10 and a katana that, oh here's an improvement from 17 years ago, has a sheath that fits on his back. Whoa! I know.

I was pudding; Destro and The Baroness (old school Dominatrix) could be torturing me for the secret location of the new Snow Cat prototype, That I could handle.

They both got one. Yo Joe!
