Is anyone happy?

I was at the grill about a month ago listening to the townies have their breakfast and gossip. Everyone I eavesdropped on was bitching about something. Their job, family, money they made (because they didn't make more), car, side walks, government (local and federal), religion, ethnic groups and every other damn thing under the sun. But this wasn't the first time I'd heard such goings on. It happens all of the time. Why don't we hear about the good things in life? Why, when we see a friend or talk to family after we've been apart for a while and ask the obvious question, "How's it goin'?" we get to hear about their gout or hemorroids or bosses with bad weaves. Why is it socially unacceptable to say, "It's going great, if my life where any better there would have to be two of me." Ok, fair is fair...we do hear that from time to time. But it doesn't make up for the standard, unsolicited laundry list of ass-chap. Here is to Jason! He had a great reflection on his great life and is happy. Bravo sir and God Bless you, your wife and your spouse (just because you are happy and appreciate it doesn't mean I can't bust your balls).

Cheers.

Bernie Ebbers is going to jail in 12 days. I'm pretty happy! Is that wrong?...
