I heard critics say that remaking The Poseidon Adventure was too soon. Their argument was that the original invented the suspense horror genre and shouldn't have tried to be redone until most of the actors were dead. Similarly, I recently read how Matt Damon was supposed to be cast as young James Kirk in a new (possible series) Star Trek movie.

1)What movies would you love to see remade?
2)How long is long enough to leave a movie alone and then remake it?
3)What movie shouldn't be touched, EVER?


My goofy take:
1)Commando (only this time with a story line and not the boob in chainmail). Alyssa Milano can be in it but only as the Rae Dawn Chong character.
2)They need to make this before Alyssa goes down hill
3)The Ten Commandments. Partly because I don't have that kind of time to watch it before I die.

My Serious take: (don't hate me)
1)Star Wars I-VI. I reserve the right to put to death anyone who ruins it*
2)I think most of the actors should be dead. But it would be cool to see McGregor as old Ben Kenobi.
3)Indiana Jones trilogy. I haven't watched them lately but I feel they are pretty timeless.

*If Ben Afleck has anything to do with it he and everyone he knows should be kicked in the nuts. For the love of god why did they let him play George Reeves. Let the man
(meaning George) rest in peace, wasn't appearing on the Lucy show enough humiliation?
